Rob–how can you say that spouses shouldn’t be on healthcare together? These are exactly the reasons why one gets married–to create a union that strengthens both people in every respect, emotionally, financially, security wise etc.
That gay people can’t similarly enjoy these sensible benefits is one of the great crimes in our society right now. But to say that spouses shouldn’t qualify for health benefits is to say that every person is an island unto themselves and that is just not the way most of human society works.
“I’ve never been to Dave & Buster’s either…Times Square is way too crowded! I’ll take my chances at the Atlantic Center Chuck E. Cheese :-)”
Snapster, we got there around 11am last Saturday and I was quite surprised that we were almost the only ones there! It was bizarre. Maybe it fills up later in the day.
I just think Rob can be more than the King’s Fool he has appointed himself to be in this court. If I didn’t think he was capable of better, I wouldn’t bother kicking his butt every once in a while. I know Cobble and Bxgrl feel the same way, as does Denton. I don’t like to see a good mind and a good heart go to waste, and if I have to be the evil schoolmarm with the overly high standards, in order to try to get him to think about his words, then so be it.
Bxgrl–sorry there is no captioning on the videos. Do you have headphones? That might help I suppose. From a design perspective I think the site is nice and the video quality (how it streams) is top notch. So overall I think AMEX did a nice job with this site.
Cobble–did you check it out? Would like your thoughts on the website, and also on the overall concept of web-based media of this sort.
right- so if you have insurance and your spouse doesn’t, you can watch them as they fall horribly ill, and either die from lack of care, or you have to bankrupt yourself to pay for it.FYI rob- most policies cover spouses for EXTRA money- its not a freebie. (Jeez- why do I waste my time).
hey everyone,
have a great weekend,
turn off your garden hoses
cause it’s gonna drop below 32
and as Kojak (filmed in Bushwick)used to say;
“who loves ya baby?”
actually no, okay spouses on insurance does kinda sorta make sense. :-0

And everyone would love feedback from all.

“It was a disappointment that gay-partnered folks still have to pay taxes on insurance to cover spouse onlike those entitled heteros.”
Agree with this 100%. But I would have used a stronger word than disappointment. Travesty perhaps?
