Boerum, you should start taking cooking advice on here. Some of these people are great cooks. If you behave yourself, Cobble sometimes bakes “dry” cookies and brownies for our socials. We’re a fancy bunch of losers.
So a colleague sent me this…interestingly enough, the smaller metros appear to be recovering v. the larger cities.
The residential property market still has a very long way to go in terms of recovering, and with the significant price drops from the peak, once home prices do recover, they will likely settle at a level that is still significantly below the peak.
From a capital markets perspective, the inability of home property prices to find a bottom and the forecasted decline in home prices in major population states ties in with the continued downgrade of second-lien mortgage portfolios (check out the ratings on any MBS portfolio holding Countrywide & Rescap HELOC’s & HEL’s and the CCC ratings from both Moody’s and S&P)as the continued reduction in home values have wiped out any available collateral for the seconds or proceeds from short sales and foreclosure sales.
mopar – looks interesting. We have been doing a lot of one pot cooking lately…soup base with noodles/rice tossed in with overcooked meat and veggies. It all comes out like mush, suitable for a 17 m.o. to mash all over her face, tasty enough for mom and dad.
None taken, blowfish – we have friends at Friends, and my uncle was the headmaster there for years, so mostly its just a level of comfort thingy. Thanks for the tips.

Fort Greene schools are fine. Plus, you said Chloe is going to private school, there are a million private schools in Brooklyn as good as Friends, but without the cultish religion. No offense. But if you don’t mind hippie schools, FG/Clinton HIll has em.
