I’m self employed and I lost a huge project (they lost the financing) that would have carried me through 2009. Let’s see what the new year brings.

Well, I won’t be on the welfare line (yet!), but I’m applying for unemployment January 2nd. And hoping that I’ll find something quickly. Even if I have to patch together a couple odd jobs.

“What, there is an empty storefront on the corner of Court at Baltic. The landlord forced the tenants out by raising the rent by a huge amount – last March, I believe. The storefront has been empty ever since. And I’m glad. The idiot pushed out a wonderful family business – Trusting Drycleaners – Mr. & Mrs. Oh. And now it’s sits empty and I’m sure it will continue to sit empty for sometime, when it could have had a nice business paying what I’m sure this landlord would be thrilled to be getting now.”
Ding ding ding!!! I have a ton of stories about Asshats landlords having empty store fronts! One Asshat I told to lower the rent said “You don’t know what you’re talking about”. That was over a year ago! Dumbasses don’t realize that Money=Time. You can’t get back time and you damn sure cant get back money you let walk away!
Cobblehiller we are living in the last days of the Mutant Asset Bubble and 2009 will wake up alot of dummies to what is going on..
