  1. Thanks, Ringo. I was just talking about that apartment. It’s nice. Not huge, but very nice. I thought at that price it would be a total gut job, but it doesn’t look like it needs any work. It’s funny how the broker dedicates a sentence in the listing to the foyer, and then there’s no picture! And I guess the wall-mounted TV goes with the unit??

  2. Pacha…the price is great! That is def. not “prime” PLG. I would go see it. Sometimes the big buildings over there can be run down…the pics *look* OK, but you never know. I would also go over there at night, so you know how your walk to/from train will be if you’re by yourself. Good luck!

  3. oh, i was waiting for the bus yesterday (and OMG the bus was SOOOOO dirty i felt like i was sitting in a dumpster there was trash EVERYWHERE, i was clutching my bag in fear roaches will crawl into it that’s how bad the bus was!!! maybe cuz it was at night? when ive taken it during the day it’s not as bad..) anyway, that’s not my point, but there are three buildings on 5th avenue and 18th or 19 or 17th not sure which, where all the windows are bricked over and three very old school looking businesses on the ground floors. are those vacant?

    *roB*

  4. Biff, re: delivery that’s messed up. What a nerve. I had that happen when the cable guy came over once and he was really rude so I didn’t tip him (which I usually do even with service people). He didn’t flat out say to tip him but he gave me attitude and a look and just slammed the door behind him. If I was you, I wouldn’t even tip them after that remark.

On the positive note, how’s the new fridge? did you end up getting that electrolux that you wanted?

  5. Biff, you should have known about the delivery charge ahead of time. What did he mean by “extra charge?” As far as a tip, it’s discretionary and gets smaller once they actually ask for it!!!!
