ET, if you don’t like it, you’ll never be good at it. So somehow you gotta learn to like it. I love cooking, and especially for others. It’s an act of love, cooking for your man (I don’t have a man, but you get my drift)
I second cobbles, get some cast iron like she says, or enameled cast iron, like Le Creuset. Scan craigslist and ebay.

I recently got a garlic press. I LOVE IT!! I use lots of garlic and used to pound the cloves in a mortar.
Definitely the best thing I have in my kitchen right now.
Yep, denton! But that small 2nd oven on the side is really nice. I’d trade my ghetto stove for your Wolf any day!
Get a Lodge cast iron medium pan, most versatile!
I’ve found that as I get better, and learn more, it becomes more fun!

I don’t enjoy cooking. It’s a task I just want to get through.
First order of business, a medium size pan. I have 2 small and 2 large ones, but not a medium one. The other day I was sauteing lots of onions and the large pans I have were too big. I ended up using the 2 small ones….it was annoying.
“What are you thinking of getting?”
Besides laid, she needs an alarm clock, and a phone with all the local takeout joints on speed dial!

Now that I’m cooking more; 50% of the time not successfully; I’m noticing I need a few things. I’m going to invest in a few gadgets.

It gets easier, Expert, trust me. It’s frustrating at first, but some of the gadgets help, some hinder. What are you thinking of getting?
