yeah, I recently attended an orthodox wedding in Brooklyn with women and men separated.
there was alot of ceremony and symbolism involved.
it seems every wedding you attend has a special
angle to it, a reflection of the couple and the
culture at once.
I went to a huge wedding of a college friend in Maryland,
they were Korean-Protestant.
Everyone in the hall sang
a hymn to Beethoven’s Ode To Joy.
Hundreds of voices at once.
fantastic.
c’mon M4L…Rolexes are nothing but show. That is what they are all about.

not like I’ll announce I got that for him nor would I expect him to announce that to everyone. The dude is super successful surgeon so rolex is not really showy (ie would someone call you showing off by living in a nice $1M+ house vs his house is only ~300k? no, cause it aint out of the norm or too attention grabbing). if I got him a patek, now that would be showy (& I would need to save a lot longer)
DH, what’s the split % on the gift pool? I might be game. hehe
Someone wanna get fake engaged to me so we can get some free gifts?

Pateks are the best, but Rolex’s are a solid investment. Especially the Daytona’s. The appreciate alot.

If I were rich I’d collect time pieces. I love the collection at the Smithsonian in DC.
