Snappy;
Benson the engineer here!
CSA stands for “Canadian Standards Association”. ETL is some type of new standard that is being promoted by an independent company. Based upon what you wrote, I suspect that these are “gray market” items: designed for the Canadian market, and then resold here.
From a safety point of view, they are probably just fine. The only concern may be insurance. UL stands for Underwriters Lab, the underwriters being insurance types. If you were to have a fire in your apartment due to one of these toasters, and you had renter’s insurance, they would not cover it (if they investigated that deeply). It has to be UL-certified for them to cover it. If this is a concern for you, avoid these products.
m4l, it was fine. One of my colleagues just called to tell me I was charming and a perfect gentleman. I firmly believe in burning no bridges. It’s a small world, and people are always tripping over each other from one bank to the next.
m4l, Dave, so are we meeting for breakfast at 11:30 tomorrow at Grand Sichuan at 55th & 2nd (or is it 3rd)??
DH, no. where / how are you listening to the tunes at work now? ever since Imeem got bought, I couldn’t listen to tunes there and have stopped listening completely at work

I’ve been listening to Last FM and Slacker Radio – they are more alternatives to Pandora than IMEEM (which ruled)
If you’re in a sorta old school hip hop mood – check out the first Mobb Deep album. Been listening to that for a minute now – miss those guys.
I’ll be at home, with Xing. Unless there’s a new Law & Order or Criminal Minds I’ll watch figure skating. Usually though (sans the Asian eye candy) it’s just too gay for me!!!!

CGar. I hope so. I’m trying to change a lunch conflict. Arrrggghhhhhhh.
Lennon: born October 9, 1940
Ono: born February 18, 1933
Yoko was definitely older than John.
