kens/m4l – very true I am not wanting to pay more than $480 b/c i feel than I’m paying too close to the peak of the market as it stands – you know. personally b/c the mainteance is sooo high – we can only afford to max out with a $440 bid
M4l – took your advice and offered a big downpayment telling agent to take that into consideration

g10, if the other offer is juicy (ie 470k-480k), would you want to over-bid them? if not, I wouldn’t up the offer yet. I’m assuming you put massive down payment when you lowballed them with the 410k. if you didn’t put massive down payment, they might not call you back.
Gem, don’t bother bidding more than 425K. Same apartment a year ago went for 485K and the maintenance was less at that point ($1066). Now the maintenance for that apt. is close to $1200. Sister just sent me a link to a very similar one.

except now I buy only pastured organic butter(rob – stop rolling eyes) and that tastes equal to euro butter
The funniest part was when Etson starting yelling “Fuck Marine Park” in a West side Manhattan bar filled with bridge and tunnel kids from Jersey who had no idea what he was talking about. They probably thought he was referring to a U.K. water park or something…
