  1. Dave, a greek co-worker of mine who travels there at least once a year told me that Greece is very corrupt politically. All of the politicians claim that they’re broke yet most have over million dollar houses and go to many vacations per year. Not sure how true it is since I know nothing about Greece besides good food and breathtaking islands that I want to visit one of these days.

  2. yeah hsbc is closing at 2 as well

pet peeve of mine: people who do not say thank you when you hold the door open for them.

bigger pet peeve of mine: those same people who you hold the door open for them, then do not hold the door open for the person behind them and the door winds up slamming them in the face.

    *rob*

  3. “Banker” is a very broad definition.

Of course the unions with their full pensions and fully paid health benefits should never shoulder ANY of the overall hardship.

Does anyone really think “Greek bankers” had much of a role in the problem?? It was the beauraucrats & the government that got them into the spending mess and the situation that they now face!!!!!

  4. Hey everyone,

    checking in from Vegas here,
    convention this week.

    flights cancelled in to JFK.
so I guess it’s another day
at the tables and “the strip”.

    …and I heard someone was
talkin’ smack about me in the OT!? 😉

  5. LMAO, This remind me of our discussions…..

Greece union workers going on strike today….

“The government is also proposing cuts in workers’ bonus pay, which for many is a large percentage of their income, as well as a hiring freeze.

Greece’s government says the measures are the only way to cut budget deficits and get its national debt under control.

ADEDY Vice President Ilias Vrettakos said he recognizes the government’s problem, but that it is not the worker who should suffer. He said the bankers created the problem for Greece, so the bankers should pay.”
