CGar, FINE! I’ll write your damn thank you letter.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet with me. I enjoyed talking with you and negotiating fees. I’m sure my services will be very useful to you. I’m flexible, quick to learn and am well suited for many positions. I’m open to starting immediately and look forward to being employed by you.
I have to say yes or no to your question. I agree that with the present MTA mamangement it is not going to happen. However, that doesn’t mean we should stop thinking big, which is exactly what has happened. Throw out the present bums in the MTA, put in a team that can get things done, and let’s start moving forward again.
Benson, Belle Harbors is gorgeous area and so is another after about 90th street. Below that is where it gets very very shady. Rockaways has always been a great potential. It is a very nice chunk of land and I would love to own a house there if it was closer to the city.
Benson
I agree, imagine if the city and the feds spent some $ creating some sort of fast speed express lightrail to take people from the rockways straight into the city, then they could develop that waterfront at a much faster pace with housing and stores and hotels etc.
however….then again that waterfront might be reduced by hundreds of feet over the next 10-20 years…
