I’m laughing at the rip-offs. There’s a Reisling that I just love in the summer when it’s really hot outside that I purchase by the case for about $9 a bottle. When I was last in Vegas we got a bottle of it at the lounge for our table $78-. You have to laugh.
Popcorn & soda at the movies though has got to be the biggest markup rip offs that exist. We all know it but we still all indulge. It’s mandatory isn’t it?
No Slope.
I only had 3 kids, two 6yr olds and one 4yr old.
Friday evening: Baked Cookies, colored (one of them managed to color my white sofa…arrrghhh) and watched I Love Lucy until the rest of family came over.
Saturday: took them to Transit Museum. They loved it! We didn’t spend time looking/reading the printed exhibits, cause they’re too young. But I did point out some of the cooler pics of tunnels, trains, buildings, etc. We had lots of fun on the trains, comparing the different colors, seats, etc. And the loved ‘driving’ the buses.
After, I took them on the train over the bridge. They enjoyed going around the pole (what can I say, they take after their aunt) more then looking out the window. I tried to point out the other bridges, the tall buildings and the water.
“we saw that. Look at me. I’m twirling faster.” Was their response.
BIff, pain killers, cough & cold remedies, virtually everything in a drug store can be had as exactly the same formulation at a huge discount as a generic or “store brand.”
But never things like mayonnaise, peanut butter or other cherished foods. Never.
Okay, no guesses. I see no one wants to win the jalopy.
Well, on gas last year, we spend—-are you ready…..
$3,156.75
Anything sold at the movies is a huge ripoff.

DIBS, I agree. I would add catsup to the list. For some reason, nothing tastes as good as Heinz.

I’m trying to change topics but the posts keep demanding responses!
