  1. Legion…I can take you point for point on that one…

    1. Obama elected – yes, great! I personally love it. But let’s not make the mistake of assuming that his election somehow reversed what’s been going on here for far too long.

    2. No castes or societal boundaries – I have to vehemently disagree on that one. We may not call ourselves Brahmins, Kshatriyas, etc., but we have it. We call it black, white, mexican, rich, poor, middle class, etc.

    3. The Constitution has been used to deny rights almost as much as it has been used to reinforce rights.

    4. The wars we get into to fight “tyranny” etc. is really about an ulterior motive. For example, the Middle East. Were it not for oil interest, we’d be saying fuck ’em.

    5. I can’t follow my dream and be who I am without restriction. Again, race and also my being a lesbian. When I can marry and adopt without people kicking up a hiss, I’ll concede part of this point.

    6. I’ll never fight you about “Jersey Shore”! 🙂

  2. Terrorists belong to the largest and most dangerous cult ever. They do not represent the fundamentals of Islam nor do they represent a majority of the people living in the Middle East.

They’re religious fanatics who train their children early on to hate Western society. They also may prey on those who may be “psycologically depressed”, or “distraught” seeking some sort of redemption and martyrdom, just like any other cult.

  3. yes legion- too many people gave up their lives- and some of them to no avail or little return. She was peroud of this country because people who would never consider living next ot an African-American family decided to use their brains and vote for the man they felt would put America back on the right course. YOu think Michelle Obama feels entitled to the racial mudslinging and increased threats against the President because of his race? I do not think so.

    bxgrl,

and yet, the same Americans had just elected her husband to a US senate position?
    ungrateful much?
    lol

  4. “I have yet to meet a black person whose outlook on life and their surroundings were not influenced by their history and personal experience, whether or not they attained higher education or social status of some sort.”

actually, every person of any ethnicity is shaped by their history.

That’s as far as I’m going to get into it, cause I didn’t read any of the above posts except for Snappy’s.

  5. legion- you keep putting words into my and arkady’s mouths. We never said a majority of Americans. No idea why you keep posting that.

But you and rob seem to have a similar problem of trying to define someone you know nothing about with no real comprehension or knowledge of that person. Talk to me after you’ve done the Vulcan Mind Meld on Michelle.

  6. quote:
The problem comes from people who want to slap a label on you and treat as a label, not a person.

in my circumstance i dont find it problematic. i embrace being a white trash fag.
