And again, this is where your argument fails. You editorialize based on your own notions, not reality. You feel only Republicans are proud of this country- nothing could be further from the truth. Of course the Republican idea of patriotism is not one I care to ascribe to either. So , again- when did you do that Vulcan mind meld?

no bxgrl,
I strongly believe that democrats are proud of this country as well, which is why I stated originally that I believe that the majority of Americans are not in line with President Obama’s cronies like
Bill Ayers
and
Reverend Wright
who are on record as saying they dislike our nation.
“I really see it as sort of a miracle that this experiment in democracy has been able to hold together this disparate and varied group of citizens under one nation.”
I can totally agree with this. But I think that time seems to be coming to an end because of our political parties. It Tea Baggers take over the GOP it will be a disaster for this country, on every level.
I fully see and respect your point Legion. I guess I just wanna know when will we as a society stop accepting the killing, the subjugating, the exploitation as the norm and strive for something better.
Legion – ok,I get your points. I guess what I am trying to say is that the overwhelming majority of these suicide bombers who really are NAMELESS b/c they don’t come from well to do families but are busy blowing themselves up in various countries throughout the Middle east DAILY are not coming from a place of wealth, but are psycologically depressed, distraught and hopeless.

I don’t deny that the poor or vunerable are being exploited. but you must admit, and just look to the most recent group of 5 american “jihaadists” caught in Pakistan recently, many are just out to destroy our way of life, regardless of their past privileges or lack therof.
“the President’s view were more in line with the majority, when I pointed out that he surrounded himself with individuals who weren’t particularly proud of this nation.”

I know right Snappy? I’m dancing in my chair right now!
I found an almost identical sequined slip dress and dressed up as that chick for New Years one year. I was channeling Suzanne Charny all night.
