  1. Hey All!

Gem/DH- I just heard that Broken Bells song “High Road” the other day too. Didn’t even occur to me that it was one of yours. Great stuff.

Lemme ask you, BlakRoc- are they signed to their own label? Any way to find out?

  2. CGar, I have the Curve too and don’t want to change to a newer model as the size and feel of it are great.
    [No Phono].

Legion, I LOVED the toonces skits on SNL. What a throwback!

  3. Legion, what you described above re: the future of healthcare is actually the present. I’m not sure if you are saying there is something that happened recently that will set things in that direction? In any event, the legislation will do SOMETHING, finally, where Republicans have done nothing and have obtructed reform for decades, even though the current system is a disaster. And you’re wrong to say the new legislation does not have cost containment measures– it does:

Maybe it would have more if Congressional Republicans weren’t being so counterproductive.

You should really follow Dr. Gawande’s coverage of the topic, he has written a lot about it for years.

  4. Biff, I saw your sweathog comment yesterday and consciously chose to ignore it. 😉

Cobble, Biff, been meaning to try Lucali, but haven’t yet. If you want to go some time, lemme know. As for Sam’s, I love Sam’s brick oven pizza only, not the regular.

Troy, I actually like David Pogue’s electronics/tech column in the Thursday Times. And his blog, too.

Oh, and Cobble, why don’t you ask that busybody dog-hater on Amity Street. She seems to know everyone’s business in the neigbhorhood.

  5. “Cobble, did you hate the BlackBerry or the evil boss?”

Both. Evil boss made a bad situation worse. I believe she was a bitter person and since she was miserable, she was very happy to take everyone along with her. Smiling all the time, of course.

When I go on vacation, I want to be AWAY. I’m not a brain surgeon, no lives will be lost if the work I do waits for a week or so to get done!!!

And, in my defense, I’m a VERY organized person, I leave my work in VERY good order with copious notes when I go on vacation. It’s literally “paint by numbers” when I leave — a junior person can handle it.

  6. Cause Iphones rock. I’ve been thrilled with mine. And having Itunes is a rather big deal for a lot of people. I think the average customer isn’t a techie and does in fact read the Times for a phone review.

Do you work for Google Troy?

  7. But CGar, when I jokingly asked “What’s a sandhog” yesterday, nobody responded so I thought I was safe. I will know now not to ask about car insurance, health insurance and cats going forward.

    Biff,
