Rob…the toilet is what’s busted in her bathroom. The toilet is full of…er…well…ya know…I’m not going in there! In fact, I’m fasting because if I wind up having to go potty, I’m in trouble!
Snaps & Rob – It may be that the problem isn’t w/ the terlit at all but the stack. If the toilet’s near a sink or tub, try filling that w/ several gallons of hot water & then letting it drain. There may be a vaccuum lock.
Personal finance should definitely be taught in schools and and real life finance course about bills, loans, actual income expectancy, etc. should be a course all seniors in highschool should take over the summer before college…right before they sign up for those big ass loans.
snappy, open the window in the bathroom, kneel down and smoke into the toilet. sounds gross, but ive done it before in places i couldnt smoke. wait it wont work if the toilet doesnt work. duh. cuz youre suppsoed to keep smoking into the toilet as you keep flushing it. the toilet drags in the cigarette smoke like it does with poo-mist. same concept. if you do that tho, after your ciggie, clean the toilet.
It needs to be clear to the general population that credit cards should not have balances, unless there is an emergency or a clear wad of cash coming in the near future.
It is amazing how many 20 somethings in New York pay $1400 in rent (with roomate), $50 for cable, $75 for cell phone and $400 in credit card INTEREST.
Jester, I’m stuck here for the day. The plumber called her just before I got here and told her he wasn’t going to be able to come until noon. In plumber speak, that means he’ll get here around 2ish!
I agree that personal finance should be taught in schools. It wasn’t taught in my school either. If we can teach life skills like woodwork or cookery, why not finance?

Etson, those days are long gone in NYC.

The credit card lobby is way too powerful.

Snappy, I’m working until 1 and have to go run an errand in South Slope. I may eat at Corner Burger. How long will you be at your friend’s?
