biff, malwarebytes.org is the hot one right now. Spybot is a bit played, imo. Ad-Aware is pretty good also, see http://www.lavasoft.com/
Frankly it doesn’t hurt to run two.
I use avg but I pay for it, that would be my first choice as a paid one like bgirl says. I don’t like some of the ‘free’ versions of avg and McAffee cuz they don’t seem to go away when the trial period is up.
Biffy – AVG has a free pgm & a buyable one – both excellent.
Denton – What was the tariff?

Most of it is common sense, like sex, better not to get sick in the first place. Don’t open attachments, don’t visit porn sites, etc.
And DON’T click on something that tells you your computer is infected! That’s the latest scam around.
Biff, you, the King of digging up old posts!
Malwarebytes (free download and CNET reviews): http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
AVG (free anti-virus and anti-spyware download for Windows 7):

If you need different versions, or more reviews, just Google “malwarebytes free” or “avg free” for anything you need.
Did you get the new computer yet? The new Macbook you’re getting me will be under the tree, right???

What did I miss?
“Must have to admit, there’s really no hot manly SUV that aint very expensive.”

Thanks bxgrl. I’ve always used Norton but I recall the reviews here were less than glowing. So what other program is good that one can buy?
http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage (I used the free version and then bought the full version)
http://www.cyberdefender.com (I have not used them and always check them out first before downloading anything)
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html (the real spybot search and destroy program. A lot of companies are using “spybot” to confuse people. This is the original one)
“CGar- has your sense of sarcasm escaped you again? :)”
No, bxgrl, has yours? 😉
