  1. I see cmu is here whining and putting words in my mouth (which he accused me of doing. ) Too bad he doesn’t read well and doesn’t understand too many concepts that don’t fall in line with his me, me, me world view. Must have hit his unhelmeted head too many times while bikeriding.

So why don’t we talk about the Manhattan Project signed by over 150 Christian “leaders” to protest gay rights? And for the record- there is a line between bashing what the Hasids do and bashing them as a culture or religious group. Apparently some of you can’t tell the difference.

  2. fact: there is not a single gay male in NYC who lives in the projects.

    (seriously) lol

    *rob*

Not true at all. My house is near the Albany Houses, whose residents include an obviously gay black dude. I say “obviously gay” because he is pretty flamboyant. He’s also a solid six feet, 180-200 pounds. He says “hi” quite openly to the other project people, and while sometimes I’ve seen the so-called “tough guys” snicker at him behind his back, they NEVER mess with him (at least in my presence). That’s because he looks like he can take care of himself (and I suspect he has had to at least once or twice).

As one of my neighbors and I were saying about him, “You know he’s tough because he lives in the projects and he’s not making any attempt to hide what he is.”

  3. The Mets had BETTER sign Lackey, M4L…they need some legitimate starters, even if everyone comes back healthy. But the only big name free agent pitcher they’ve signed in the last few years has been Santana. I think there’s a shot the Yanks get Halladay, not the least of which is they can afford him. But the Yanks may just back off and wait until next year when he can be a free agent and they won’t have to give up mega prospects.

  4. “uh, late to work today. Apparently some guy donning an outfit from Where The Wild Things Are was causing a train delay with his furry stank.”

So I’m on the subway, heading back from a meeting, and reading the the OT on my BBerry, reading posts from about 10am on, and you people had me literally laughing out loud. People were looking at me even stranger than they usually do. Legion, I almost fell on the floor when I read your ^^^ post. Lesson: Never read the OT on the train if you want to be inconspicuous.
