  1. if you see someone breastfeeding obnoxiously, take out your camera or camera phone and snap a picture. it will make them really uncomfortable. lol. just kidding, i dont think id really give a crap. it is however really disgusting to breastfeed on the train, just as disgusting as people who eat french fries and stuff on the train. also breast feeding on the train can spread disease, like if the milk squirts on someone who has an open cut or sore and the person breastfeeding has a disease, it can spread. so really it’s disrespectful to do it on the train. im sure your baby can wait 10 minutes for that stanky sour mommy milk.

  2. ENY, I have no personal frame of reference. Just something I observed on the train and since we frequently discuss subway etiquette, just wondering whether people think it’s appropriate. I mean, I’d prefer that NO ONE ate on the train, period!

  3. bxgrl,
Why is it a problem? Religious people have the right to vote how they choose, and to take into account the views of religious leaders when they vote.
I do not know how the Catholic Church decides who does and does not receive communion, but abortion is dead set against their teaching, to the degree that it’s hard for me (from the outside) to see how someone could be pro-choice and regard themselves as a good Catholic. It’s all over the papers because some people care, but they have the right to use the information in any way they will.

  4. Hi everyone!

    Belated comments:
-Rob: Got my jacket back from Bell House – thanks for asking. It’s just an old, cheap jacket – not a prized snow leopard – but I’m glad to have it back anyway.
Also, Rob, consider taking the train to see your grandmother. I took the train to S. Caro a few years ago and it was wonderful. The seats are sort of like a barca-lounger (sp?) so it’s easy to sleep. When I go to my hometown, I take the train. It’s a 2 day trip and you meet really interesting people. The train ride is the vacation part of the trip and the visit to my hometown is the obligation part. I love, love, love the train!

-Snappy: thanks for the jokes yesterday – comic relief much needed!

-Kens: thanks for the W. Post Post. lol, literally – I was laughing so hard I was crying – great for mental health!

-Buddy Holly was not created in China. He’s from the same area I’m from and is the only claim to fame for that place (if you don’t count prairie dog town).

-Cgar: Wordperfect hasn’t been vanquished – I use it for my reports. Sorry for your problems with MS Word.

    -I LOVE brussels sprouts!!!
