CGar,
I’ve been scouring the site periodically in search of a good place to make snarky comments or innuendo. My status for Thursday still depends on when I get done with a work dinner.
I just saw one this weekend, really nice! oversized wheels and struts. shiny black with one mean muffler.
ENY,
lol, just to clarify;I would only drive my car down that stretch in the daytime, no racing for me as I had this inordinate fear of crashing into a pole at 90mph. and it was by no means souped up, in fact that damn car nearly killed me in college going downhill with the break lines going out on me.
CGar,
lol, cobble’s gonna jump the shark with the Fonz.
ENY,
exactly. I used to take my old 73 maverick down that stretch (when no one was looking) and it would rattle like the engine block was about to blow up. I suppose that was always the place for drag racing. I’ll have to ask my father in law. He grew up in Bayridge and still has his souped up 41 chevy in his garage. That car’s a monster!
MM,
I’m glat to hear that the info. is useful. I’m looking up pictures for your bklyn favorites segment in Dec.

BD, where you been all day, and are you coming to Bell House Thursday??? Inquiring minds want to know.
ENY? What about you? I thought I’d nearly convinced you the other day.
And, Legion, I hope you’re coming. bxgrl promises me she’ll be there.

Can we hit 400 so I can go home, please?
Nova! My stepbrother had a Chevy Nova. Now there’s a car I haven’t thought about in years. I guess you’d have to soup it up.

“oh yeah, there was this long stretch of road parallel to Flatlands avenue.”
That was it! We locals called it “The Road.”
