“Cormac is easily the most interesting writer alive today. He turned down money once in order to keep writing. ”
Let’s just say I completely disagree, but then again “interesting” is a subjective evaluation. And, anyone who “turns down money to write” is a fool. That doesn’t even make sense.
Legion: that WAS NOT FUNNY, not even once. And, I can never get those :50 of my life back, either. I’m not surprised you and infinitejester have similar taste in literature. Y-A-W-N.

Zing!!!!!
Stevieb, you seem to have a DIBS fixation. Lots of people here know what he looks like, where he works, and what his phone number is – but you seem to be particularly proud of this knowledge.
Not as many as you! I’ve heard you’ve eaten lots of birds.
“there are times (trying to) being different is good. Thanksgiving in not the time. Share the tradition or don’t bother celebrating.”
Pete, if you’re referring to me. Nobody in my immediate family likes Turkey. The tradition of Thanksgiving is alive in our home, by us getting together with family and friends and celebrate our blessings and are thankful for the what we have. The type of food on the table is secondary and yes, not the ‘westernized’ image of a Thanksgiving meal, but it is prepared with love and care and everyone seems to enjoy it.
My family will celebrate Thanksgiving with our delicious ethnic food.
Yes, etson, I would say so although I’ve only read that one and The Road. I can speed read so the words just blend together for me though, that helps with paragraphs like that.

Chinese take out???
ET, you should try the canned cranberry jelly. I’ve heard you like it in the can.
Your stalking seems to have been pretty good stevie, but DIBS looks nothing like Andrew Sullivan.
Show of hands. Which is more traditional? Homemade cranberry sauce or cranberry sauce from a can?
