Kens…www.gardeners.com and countless other places sell boxes. They’ll grow with some sun…full isn’t necessary…plant them in spring after all threat of frost is gone…many are perennial and will come back the next year.
Fasten the box with screws and anchors into the masonry…you’ll need a drill with a masonry bit…you can borrow mine
Question(s) for everyone…. I want to grow my own herbs (not the GSS type of herbs but the real ones from the basil thief thread). Here are a few questions.
1. Where can I buy a nice wood planter box that I can fasten to the brick right outside my window as I have no balcony or any fancy garden or deck.
2. Would do I need to use to drill it into the brick? What kind of drill bit/drill and screws?
3. Will the herbs grow with not too much sun exposure since it’s not on a “sunny” side of the building
4. What month do I need to plant on so I get maximum use of the herbs?
Need a pastry cloth to roll them on, and a rolling pin cover. So it’s a bit labor intensive. They get rolled out almost paper thin, I mean they really are almost transparent.

Hey, what type of wood would be best for making a baking cart out of? I want to be able to put dough, etc. directly on the top of it.
