snappy, maybe I would get a piece of BB on the table, and then a piece of marble to go on top for dough. You could stash the marble away when you don;t need it. We got a piece of marble from Foro’s in the Gowanus. Then we got stone counters and it sits, looking sad, in the laundry room. Maybe if you talk nice to Mrs. D (but not too nice, lol)
i wouldn’t thing marble so expensive for size looking for.
You arent looking for the prettiest grain. Just got to one of the marble/stone places in neighborhood with dimension you want..they would probably make out or scrap.
For god sakes, you claim to be lesbian,,,should be able to figure out how to attach to top.. or ask your crazy friend next time she calls.
Oooh…good idea cobble. Maybe a stainless steel top? How expensive would that be? Where would I find that (or would I have to have it fabricated for me to my specs)?
Kens, a lot easier with a hammer drill. I have one.

Overkill, denton. But I’m impressed nonetheless.
Getting stainless fabricated turns out to be expensive. I tried that route and ended up buying a restaurant metal work table.

Uh-oh, impersonating someone from Facebook. I smell a lawsuit!
Well, to be honest, my dough rolling will be a minimum. My main use would be for extra prep space for general cooking. Is marble still best?
