  1. Joe, that was the poem they used at the end of that recent biopic about him, not the one with Mickey rourke but “Live through This” I think it was called.

What’s everyone doing for Halloween? I’m going to the Greenlight Bookstore, then seeing “Capitalism: a Love Story”, then meeting people for drinks.

  2. thanks M4L.
But with the ridiculous healthcare costs in the US, won’t that liability cap be eaten up very quickly?

I think I would like to run a car over there but not if it raises the potential for bankruptcy!

  3. Love Bukowski!
CHiller – I haven’t bought mine yet for that very reason!

The reading of this at the end of “Bukowski: Born Into This” definitely sent chills down my spine.

  4. “Second best ruse after the one where you pretend to be gay so you can feel up a woman’s boobs. But of course you wouldn’t know anything about that, would you CGar?”

I don’t understand, Biff. Are you “inning” me? (No homo)

  5. Mopar- seriously- do you want the table or not?

A college roommate’s boyfriend wrote this many years ago (the roommate is actually a famous poet now) but I loved this and have it memorized:

I have forgotten how to cry
    But the Sky remembers
    And sheds the tears
    That experience and years
    have taught me to discipline
    And dry.
The sky and I have agreement
    About pain,
    And I love rain.
-Michael( Sadly I can’t remember his last name).
