  1. Chicken;

Health care costs are not covered by these policies. The liability we’re talking about here is basically getting sued for your assets as compensation for some accident that took place on your property (house, car, pool, boat, etc.).

Health care costs are covered by a separate medical insurance policies.

BTW (my one minute political speech for today): if the damn politicians would regulate medical insurance like they do auto/property insurance, we wouldn’t have the problems that we do.

  2. “What’s everyone doing for Halloween?”

We’re sitting on the stoop giving out candy with friends and neighbors. [We might even be drinking! Shhhhh.]

I wanna see Capitalism, we just watched Sicko this past weekend.

  3. How about this one by Robert Frost, short and sweet:

“The rain to the wind, said
    You push and I’ll pelt.
They so smote the garden bed
    that the flowers actually knelt
and lay lodged, though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.”

  4. chicken, the ins company doesn’t want to pay a dime so their lawyers would fight for a settlement – ie 50% payout so $1M policy might cover a $2M liability. heck if you think you’re that bad of driver, don’t drive. but if you think you’re good driver, most incidents should be minor and the policy should be suffice. but as Arkady stated, slapping on another $1M add’l coverage is probably small incremental $$$

  5. “Can I just say that the “Midnight” Milkyways are pretty good, but super tiny. When did the mini’s become the micro’s?”

The old school mini’s are now referred to as “fun sized” last year I got a bag of minis that had the M.W. Darks in them. VERY good, but yeah crazy tiny.

Fun sized are about 2” long by 1” across. Just the way they’re supposed to be.

I just ate 2 of the M.W. fun sized (not dark).

  6. “Joe, that was the poem they used at the end of that recent biopic about him, not the one with Mickey rourke but “Live through This” I think it was called.”

The reading of this at the end of “Bukowski: Born Into This” definitely sent chills down my spine.
