My bf has little wheeled dollies that can jack up a car so you can move it. Cops & ConEd have them. Expensive but sometimes worth it. Can’t remember what they’re called.
Now I am scared. When I buy insurance over here, there are 3 classes of insurance:
1) 3rd party only (cheapest category). Pays out for damages and medical bills/lost earnings/etc for the other party if the accident is your fault.
2) 3rd party fire & theft (middle). As 1 but also covers if your car gets stolen.
3) Fully comprehensive (most expensive). As 2 but also covers your car and medical/etc.
In all cases, the only additional liability that you might face is the “excess”. ie You have to pay the first £XXX of any claim out of your own pocket (typically around $3-500). You can reduce your premiums if you choose to have a higher excess.
How does the US system differ? Sounds like it could be potentially ruinous to drive a car over there!
True confessions: I opened a bag of the Halloween candy.
Added liability doesn’t cost a whole lot. I have a couple of million because of my pool & it’s minimal.
If anyone sees Bxgrl, tell her to check her email, ha ha ha. 🙂

NSR, if you do give mazda3 a shot, consider the 5dr version – much cooler looking plus more versatile if you have to transport big or odd shaped items
