I hear what you’re saying on that, benson. But maybe it is just easier to cover everyone and spread out the risk. There actually are incentives to change bad behavior, one of which is plain old living. Your suggestion opens up all kinds of privacy and other invasive issues. Should the premiums of gay males be higher, for example? Or only gay males that don’t use condoms? Who’s checking that? What about alcohol? What’s excessive when it appears moderate consumption is actually beneficial? Do we give drug tests to everyone? What about people who live near the Gowanus Canal who should know better? A mess in the making.
I took it as a compliment. I’m guessing *rob* will, too. Just a hunch. Frankly, I think all the gay guys here are like the straightest gay guys I know.
Pete, re the LLC, I think you might be able to but not if you still had a mortgage. I would wonder about the tax issue, even about zoning. You’d probably need to ask an acct.
