“I love gay bars”
Biff, what was the gay bar in the West Village that you like (seriously)? Is it the Cubby Hole on West 12th that you said is now a mixed lesbian / gay / straight crowd?

HOBOKEN ROCKS, are you out there? You should continue to post on the markets. While I agree market timing is bad advice for most people, that doesn’t mean it is not interesting to hear what you’re up to.
I think it can be done. As I mentioned, some companies have already started doing it with their self-insurance program.
Just take a look at your home insurance – there are about 10 ways in which you can reduce your premiums by doing certain things.
As for privacy concerns: we’re talking about private policies. It’s a contract,so I don’t think there are issues there. When it’s a company-provided policy, like in the safeway case, I agree there are privacy issues. Somehow Safeway managed to address them.
Most importantly, it aligns good business with good health. Just take a look at the obesity issue we have in the lower-income classes (and NOTE: many of these folks are already insured via medicaid). I think one mistake people make in the current debate is assuming that good coverage = good health. Ain’t so, under the current regulations. Align risk and pricing, and I think you’ll see some results.

It’s Friday afternoon. Can we please talk about anything other than insurance?
I also like gay bars or more correctly the company of gay men.

At least you can tell us your weight chart 🙂
“Oh, Biff, apropos of nothing, did we ever pick a time to go to Excelsior?”
I just spit water all over my keyboard, jester!
