bohdi, Sorry to hear it, hoping your day improves! Once, years ago, I made a mistake at work to the tune of several thousand dollars. Hmm, It was a little more than a quarter of my salary at the time. It was fixed, but it sucked going through it.
In bstoner, you have the bitter renters (the lower and middle class) and the homeowners (the privileged class). The privileged class has benefited from the policies of deregulation and tax cuts that the republicans promoted for the past 30 years. The carrot that was dangled was always “support tax cuts, because you could be rich one day”.

Absolutely not true Stevie. I refuse to argue because I have a job that pays for my homeownership (more like co-op ownership) and I still want to keep it. I think we have already established that the really hard working people in NYC don’t have time to post on Brownstoner all day so please spare us the crying. There are three types here.
1. Those that worked hard to get where they are and established themselves career wise and financially and now can afford to take the Bstoner cruise control.
2. Those that are comfortable with their career choices and have a nice stable job and income and saved to buy a property for themselves or rent and live comfortably.
3. Those that don’t work hard enough and cry how poor or unfortunate they are and claim that they work hard enough and just life didn’t align their stars.
Daveinbedstuy: The bottomline is poltics is all about keeping $ in the pockets of the 1%. Regardless if Bloomberg is in it for the $ or not, he has a boss. If his boss tells him to increase taxes, guess what-he has to increase them. And, who I vote for is my business.
Let me guess, you voted for Bush-I guess you got what you deserved by voting for those pompous egomaniacs because your taxes did go up to feed the top 1%.
Hey DIBS – are you having trouble posting over there?? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*rob*…i agree but it’s so sad at the same time.

What we all REALLY need to be worried about is the GOVERNOR’s race!
