wasder, I agree. I’m not over-confident whatsoever about tonight’s game. Even when past their prime, great pitchers like Pedro often have a way of resurrecting their best stuff.
yeah, Republicans are not just motivated by wealth, that’s so unfair– they also want to exploit prejudices, curb civil rights, and curb worker’s rights! hahaha. J/K. i mean, its true, except that northeast republicans don’t really match up with that otherwise RNC description. I am voting for Bloomberg, even though I’m mad at him for the homeless shelter clearing-house thing. I think he’s got an impressive urban-pplanning vision; again, apart from homeless shelter clearing house.
otherwise– Mark Winson Griffith for the 36th! Let’s talk local!
“i am not for wealth distribution as much for the return of the wealth that was stolen from the middle class and given to the already wealthy.”
Some specific examples for us to discuss, please.

Lets start with the de-regulation of investment banks and the SEC allowing the leverage to go from 15:1 to 40:1 between 2003-2007. That created a lot of millionaires who bought brownstones and priced poor renters out of the desirable neighborhoods in brooklyn.
When everything fell apart in 2008 and we realized that all the profits from 2003-8 were phantom paper gains, the tax payers stepped in to support the investment banks and everyone got big bonuses in 2008, and again in 2009.
The more I think about it, the less I care about the term limits extension. I am more concerned about doing what is right for this city than the term limit controversy. If the people really want Thompson in, they’ll vote for him.
Vote for whom you think is the best candidate for the job, people! Vote for Thompson if you think he can do a better job for the city, but don’t vote for him or abstain from voting because of the term limit issue. Just my opinion.
Don’t wade into that thicket again. If you are a newbie and weren’t around when all that went down, you’re in over your head. And if you were around, you should know better.

“FOT, I don’t think it’s fair to DIBS to dig that one up.”
I didn’t mention a name for a reason Biff, cause I didn’t want to call attention to that person.
But you’re right Biff, I won’t dig it up or post it. It’s not fair.
Moving on.
Kitty talk, please.

BIH – I think it’s more important to have a mayor who can be effective. Unfortunately, I don’t think BT is it.
here is how *i* define middle class
anyone who is not on public assistance (welfare, section 8, or unemployment) up to making 99,999 K. (that 99 K can be combined or a single)
