m4l: “There are people, organizations, gov, etc that can help or block you from something but the one thing you have most control of is your own effort”
Got an idea: consider writing a self-help book. You got the phrases down pat.
Benson – That only makes sense if you as the uninsured may not go to an emergency room for free treatment – which used to be the case years ago. But it’s a greater burden on the tax pool to misuse the emergency room than to spread responsibility over all citizens. Self-employed, I was paying upwards of $1000. a month for lousy insurance because having insurance was the responsible thing to do. Many people can’t afford that (&, goodness knows, my lifestyle has improved since I got to 65 & didn’t have to carry that) & there are few alternatives. Universal health insurance of some kind is desperately needed. Among other things, people w/ some kind of safety net more often have conditions seen to before they reach a crisis – lessening the costs even more.

Dolphins & humans are also, I think, the only critters in whom the female doesn’t have a “season” but are ripe year ’round.

ROFL, Legion!
Dolphins and humans and now bonobos apparently are the only animals who have sex for pleasure, I believe.
