“Anyway part of it’s kinda the tweaker esthetic that if you grew up with PCs become fun”
Denton, somehow I just don’t find this fun, LOL.
Arkday, I agree with Denton, and, as I mentioned I have both AVG and malwarebytes software, which seem to complement each other. My brother is a computer engineer so I get whatever he recommends.
i know bxgrl. 🙂 i guess it’s kind of annoying, kind of like it’s ok to slag on one group but not the other. it just gets ooooooold. i am having recession-backlash-itis.
That may be the case, CG ups, but there are plenty of us who live paycheck to paycheck (or unemployment check to unemployment check). Personally I don’t think money makes you better or worse as a human being. I think it does make you more secure and gives you the freedom to do things poorer people can’t. I know quite a few people with money who I would trust with my life. Same with some poor folk. But this is brownstoner, after all. You know we’re gonna make blanket statements and stereotype wherever possible 🙂
ditto, you’re right. Nevertheless it is entirely possible to go without if you use some common sense. Anyway part of it’s kinda the tweaker esthetic that if you grew up with PCs become fun. Ya know, replacing your own CPU, flashing your BIOS, adding a hard drive or two… and yes, comparing anti-virus software.
Arkady, it’s a simple anti-virus/malware scanner. Right now, it’s the best. Altho I run the full version of AVG it pickup up a coupla things, and it’s also bailed me out at work where some of my good employees have gotten infected.

dibs, you sure do like a lot of Asian telcos. You’re not spending time with their repairmen, are you?

Me and some friends would run to dunkin donuts everynight at 2am to get the free donuts they were going to dump… That was about 18 years ago..

“old fish??”
Yeah, ditto, it was pretty gross. 1/2 eaten sandwiches, leftover meals, you name it.
