  1. or rather it’s about as useful to blame the world for being born poor instead of rich or being born ugly instead of beautiful, but these are things that we need to accept. to spend your like fighting it it to waste your life. plenty of poor people end up doing great things with their life and better society with little to no fanfare and no financial gain because they didn’t sit on their ass whining about it.

  2. my point is you can blame the world for being born poor instead of to a rich family, or for being born ugly instead of beautiful, but plenty of people who come into money are perfectly decent people who work hard and are not spoiled brat monsters ruining new york for all. one of the hardest working guys i know comes from crazy money and you’d never know it. i just think it gets tired for people to hate on the idea of inheritance when it’s part of people’s motivation for saving and preserving things to pass on to the next generation. i mean give me a break, i don’t think someone living in the middle of park slope qualifies as indigent quite like a family living in a shelter or people getting their only hot meals from a soup kitchen.

  3. Nightline did a freegan story recently, and this woman was picking ALL of her food out of dumpsters and trash bags – from day old bagels to old fish to expired canned goods (some of which made her sick). Yuck.

  4. totally dipster, did i tell you i no longer have my soul because of a day old bag of bagels? it’s pretty sad actually. actually denton, if you must know, i don’t so much truly mind people with old money (like the kind of people on gossip girl), i think it’s new money people that are a turn-off. but money is money and you can’t take it with you when you leave! i just think that people who substantial parental help with rent and down payments is why rents are so high!
