very true. the american dream can and does exist in the form of reality tv show tho. one can become rich simply by being themselves, or playing on on tv. it does always irk my man buttons when you find out that some reality tv contestants dont NEED the million dollars and stealing a spot away from someone who does need it.

i know bxgrl. 🙂 i guess it’s kind of annoying, kind of like it’s ok to slag on one group but not the other. it just gets ooooooold. i am having recession-backlash-itis.

omg what are you talking about? poor people get mocked on this site incessently! lol. just the mission statement along claims it is a website specifically aimed at “the affluent!” i come here for the irony of it all. if not, id just stick to the off topic section of the pimps up h0s down board!

  3. the 50’s leave it to beaver idea of americana is no longer a reality (maybe it never existed), and so has the american dream evolved. the wealth gap is larger than ever but there is still huge opportunity in this country via education and plain old hard work. it’s always been hard to rise into the next socioeconomic class, but in a way there is constant progress/evolution.
