  1. have the balls to be direct. nobody (i certainly was not) implying that everyone has the same opportunities. the point is that there is opportunity, people seize it and do manage to succeed. there are people that had amazingly difficult circumstances growing up and have grown to be successful (and well adjusted) people. many of the kids at the school i work with are from families below the poverty line. some of them move on to “just get by” in life. some of them have done really well. one of my students is on his way to beomcing a teacher via a rockefeller fellowship. another one is becoming a nurse and the first college graduate in her family. or some of them are even upper middle class white kids that live in brooklyn and rise to the top of their field. who knows, there may even be hope for you.

  2. “Not picking on anyone inparticular but if you think Rob has had all the same opportunities as you all in his life, you’re pretty delusional.”

Rob’s grammar-and-punctuation-don’t-matter mantra will shut off some opportunities right away!

  3. I am not ivy league.. I just wanted to make something of myself.. After a stint at VIACOM as a IT Project Manager I found my calling in trading.. Truth be told that I am lucky SOB.. My first trade , NITE , doubled in about a week and the rest is history..
