Bloomberg is an ass. He will not get my vote simply because of the term limits thing. I know it’s a throw-away, but I’ll be voting for some other no name dude that happens to strike my fancy on election day. I refuse to reward Bloomberg’s antics with a vote that people fought and died for me to have. Jackass.
It’s no sideshow to me, ditto. I’m not talking about Sheldon Silver, OK? I’m talking about Michael Bloomberg. I’m a registered Democrat, and I actually voted for him the first time around. Furthermore, I happen to agree he has done some really great things. But this is NYC – it’s full of capable, talented people. No one person, I don’t care how spectacular he/she thinks he/she is, is indispensible. The city will continue to go on. When Bloomberg went back on his word and engineered himself an opportunity to become mayor again, he directly disregard for the expressed will of the people for his own selfish purposes. To me, this was a keen insight into his character, and I don’t like what I see. I guess you and I just disagree on this issue.
Remember that pre-Giuliani, it was commonly said that NYC was an “ungovernable” city. You don’t hear that much anymore.

And just how do YOU know this?????
Panties With a Twist is like that 50/50 male-female split that Brownstoner mentioned this morning. Not my thang, really.
