Georgia, Georgia
The whole day through (the whole day through)
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)
I said a Georgia, Georgia
A song of you (a song of you)
Comes as sweet and clear as moonlight through the pines
Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in the peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you
I said Georgia, oh Georgia, no peace I find (no peace i find)
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind oh)
Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you
Oh Georgia,
No peace, no peace I find
Just an old, sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)
Other arms reach out to me
Other eyes smile tenderly
Still in peaceful dreams I see
The road leads back to you
Oh Georgia, Georgia
No peace, no peace I find
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind (Georgia on my mind)
I said just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind
No slopefarm, it wasn’t…they came later. I think the affordable housing thread was a good discussion and you’re right, on a blog you’re going to get called names. God knows I’ve doe it and had it done to me maybe once or twice.
I don’t think it was gemini and minard’s Italian comments that drove benson today. He, bx, jtb, and montrose were having an intense, intelligent and civil exchange on the affordable housing therad, and some newbie showed up and called him a schmuck. He had enough and left. His choice, but it wasn’t the regulars who drove him off. It was a relatively intelligent discussion on all sides up to that point. You spar about politics, poverty and social policy on any blog long enough, someone’s gonna call you a schmuck, or worse, no matter what your views are.
I guess the nice thing about what’s OT, and indeed the entire blog, is nobody has a substantive word to say about anything at all.
First, thank you for advising me that I’m an attention-seeker. I’ll especially take that advice from someone who has their own personal blog, and who is one of the top posters on this site.
On to your other point, please repeat this idea to yourself, and this goes for others: you are not the owner of this site, and no one appointed you or any others as the hall monitor. You and others are not here to hand out the script. When that point is clear, I’ll be back.
When this all started to happen, I was one of the defenders of this OT. What did I get for it? A gratuitous ad hominen attack for stating an unpopular opinion.
Moreover, there are those who try to police this site to be politically correct.
When this is a true OT, I’ll be back. In the mean time: no homo, baby!
Snappy, Kens, chicken stir fry from the Conde Nast cafeteria. Pretty good.

A neutral, gnomic utterance, about baseball:
He walked and drove in a run.

Hypocrisy in the name of fatuous self-righteousness.
BJ…I’d love for Mario Lopez (Extra) to interview me about the drama. He is soooooooooooooo hot.

THL;
Happy to see that I’m on the top of your list!
