  1. Well whatever it is, hope it goes great.

    benson- this is not about criticizing because yes, the left did criticize. This is about acting as though the President of the United States has no standing and using any lie to foster that. Now they’re saying he will use this speech to indoctrinate the young. To push his political agenda- although how anyone would expect to use 10 year olds to push an agenda is beyond ridiculous.

    This is about the extreme right making up the most outrageous conspiracy theories and ridiculous charges because they are sore losers. If you can’t see the problem with extremists, that’s too bad because quite a few of your fellow Republicans are concerned and talking about it. FYI- Bill O’Reilly thought Obama should make a speech to the nations’ schoolchildren because his life story is a classic American Tale.

    After all the ranting and raving about patriotism the least 8 years, what’s patriotic about teaching children the POTUS is not important and that America isn’t about democracy but about keeping your party in power?

  2. For some reason many neighbors think I’m a weird cat lady. So I’m sitting here now trying to sew a patch on a window screen. The boys tore a hole in it this a.m. when a squirrel ran across the sill. Try sewing black on black while leaning at a 90 degree angle w/ 2 cats trying to help & one is also trying to get out the window because the screen is raised. Kids in the adjacent back yard are pointing & giggling. Wonder why…

  3. Lechacal;

    I’m shocked, SHOCKED that you would suggest that our friends on the left would criticize a president for his actions. Tsk-tsk. Such scary tactics only emanate from the knuckle-dragging right.

  4. lechacal- Even I didn’t claim Bush was reading a right wing fundamentalist tract disguised as a children’s book on 9-11. He’s not making a speech on his issues- he’s just talking to the nation’s children – like many other presidents before him. This whole thing is getting so out of hand- I have news for everyone. Obama is the President of the United States, Duly elected. I respect the office and in this case the man. I have never seen this country behave as though it no longer matters if someone is elected, only what his party is. I hated Bush- but he was still my President. When we no longer respect our electoral process we may as well give it up but that means we no longer believe in the Constitution or democracy.
