  1. Ferris Bueller’s day off is soaked in awesome. Agree. My fave comedies are probably A Fish Called Wanda and any of the Monty Python classics. But then again my cultural awareness stopped developing over 10 years ago.

  2. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off IS one of the best movies ever. On so many levels. It is fucking awesome. Definitely in my top ten. Just saw the Purple Rose of Cairo recently, also awesome. But seriously, sometimes a simple comedy is so amazingly perfect and classic. Like the Blues Brothers. Soaked in awesome.

  3. I watched the English Patient again recently and have to say that Juliet Binoche has to be one of the loveliest actresses I’ve ever watched. Her and Meryl Streep (though totally different). Speaking of Meryl, I also watched “Sophie’s Choice” recently, after reading the book (which, needless to say was waaay better but that’s a testament to how awesome the book was ’cause the movie was pretty fantastic). OK back to work now. See you guys later.

  4. I saw part of The Hudsucker Proxy once…. I’m willing to give it another shot.

Another random one that I used to call my favorite movie but now I’m a little embarrassed to say it because it’s the sort of thing you get into when you’re going through a self-absorbed wanna be artsy stage – but I still secretly love the movie – “Siesta”.

  5. I prefer the LDoD soundtrack better than the movie.

My brother and I used to say (only somewhat jokingly) that Ferris Buehler’s Day Off was the best movie ever made. Of course, different genre than Barcelona, Metropolitan, etc.
