  1. herk, I don’t think the 3-second rule applies to the workplace.

Just visited what’s blog some minutes back. Thought about saying hello but decided not to give him my url. I wish him luck with it (what, if you are lurking, I am sincere about that) although he seems to be waiting for others to do the content. It’s weirdly quiet over there. I think he needs windmills to tilt at, and I think he’s realizing that, on his own blog, he’s the windmill, not the tilter. I’m happy to add myself to the petition to unban what, but I think his contribution here is way overrated by many here. After an early summer frenzy of trying to enage him in a dialogue that had logic and actually went somewhere, I’ve entirely lost my appetite for trying. Still, he is a part of the community, so I think he belongs. Maybe we’ll raise a glass tonight to the Brownstoner 3 (one of whom was released).

  2. There were OTHER chunks but so WHAT? I wanted it ALL. It’s my lunch damn it, the high point of my day… at least until I get home to my 5 cats.

I watched a thing on the Discovery channel about the 5 second rule. Apparently the level of germiness depends on how porous/fatty the food item is. I’m still debating its edibility.

  3. “I have never been a fan of pole dancing. I frankly just don’t get it. Why a pole? There’s nothing inherently sexy about a shiny metal pole”

As I told Lechacal at Pete’s – I’ve never gone to strip club before. I’m thinkin the next sausage fest should involve naked chicks.

  4. did someone mention Brazil?

That was an excellent movie. Terry Gilliam directed, think, same director as Time Bandits.

If you like Brazil you have to like films like
    Adaptation
    Being John Malkovich
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (best relationship movie since Annie Hall)
