Hoboken, sounds like a good plan. You might cut quite a bit just by cutting soda, juices and sweets. Also a good way to get some exercise is while it’s nice outside, play some sports with your kid. Not sure how old he is but I am sure you can think of something to play with him, no matter what the age is (my guess is that since he is in class as you stated, he can walk and run).
Lethacal I didn’t know 3500 calories was 1 lb.. But I do know that if I just eat 2000 calories a day with exercise I can lose the 25 lbs in a about two to three months… That is my plan..
ugh i just looked up the recipe. yeah i completely did it wrong. i was supposed to boil the pickling spice brine liquid and the asparagi too. ill redo it tonight.
Kensingtonian, I was about 195 last year with decent muscle mass.. I would love to get their again.. But easier said than done. I started counting calories at the beginning of the summer and went from 222 to 217 within about 3 weeks. Not bad. But then I started BBQ’ing on my terrace and went back to the bad habits.. But I am going off the soda, juices and all sweets.. That is my first step.. I have been walking an hour a night and now that my son is going back to class I will try to walk in the mornings as well.
Gem, its not about winning. I had some GOOD times on M5s and 540s on a stick. They hold the road really well and fun as hell to drive. I just wouldn’t own one because of the headaches that seems to come along with it. I have a Japanese made SUV now for the past 4 years and couldn’t be happier. Smooth ride and fits hell of a lot of things, including PLUSAs.

Rob, did you use a recipe? I think you have to cook it before you put it in the pickling brine.
i didnt cook it 🙁 i just put it in raw. DAMNIT. can i take it out and cook it tonight? then put it back in the vinegar? the party is actually saturday not friday but im going over the night before to her mentor’s place to help decorate and prepare, so if i cook it tonight will that be enough time to properly pickle?
That’s a cool Plan B, CG_ups!
Not sure if I could be polite & chatty enough with the host, though. I just end up thinking ‘ask the ^&%*^$ question already’ whenever I see it on TV.
Best of luck!
Kens – ok you got me! you won!!
We haven’t had any electrical problems as of yet(knock on wood) but oy vey with the low-pro tires and the friggin potholes – I think I have replaced each tire rim 3 times each in 5 years of owning the car
Good luck with the new recipe Rob. I think it’s really sweet that you’re going to all that effort for your sister. 🙂
