wow. just wow…

anyway, at work we get tons of textbooks that just got published… and i came across this little doozey in an american history book

the book is titled:
United States History – Heritage of Freedom

then in small tiny letters says “in christian perspective”

im thumbing thru the book and near the end there is a section titled Cultural Decay.
has a bunch of topics discussed under Cultural Decay. the first is homosexuality. it says “the family is the basic building block of civilization. When it comes under attack, all of society suffers. Trad-itional (they spell it like that for some reason with a hyphen. wtf?) American family values have dramatically declined in recent decades. One results has been the increased acceptance of homosexuality. In 2008, the American culture stressed tolerance for people who choose to live an alternative lifestyle, a “lifestyle” the bible calls sin (“thou shalt not lie with man-kind, as with womankind: it is an abomination” Leviticus 18:22

the next topic is abortion :-/

this is a high school text btw. where the hell is crap being taught? and to whom!?

Since several of us can’t make it tomorrow, I propose that there be a second meetup in WillyB. I know, I know, change neighborhoods, bars, etc., but I really want to go hang there again. It’s been a while. DH, I’m counting on you to make it happen! Fight for your hood, man!
