Thanks CGar, I’ve been there and it’s a good place. I’m just looking on the West Side for now. I know West Broadway has a few decent places too, just north of Canal.

Can’t argue with you there. Little Branch started giving out passes to their regulars who started to stay away – which allows them to bypass any lines.
If i want a cocktail nowadays (which is rare) i’ll just go to milk and honey.

OK, I happen to despite smoking, don’t allow it in my home, and get nauseous at the smell of secondhand smoke, but seriously … can’t smokers even smoke outside anymore? This is getting ridiculous. I’m even starting to feel sorry for the poor suckers.

CG_Ups, thanks for the info. I’ve been to Employees Only many times as a good friend of mine lived very close to it, but I agree wholeheartedly that it often scores high on the douche-o-meter, especially as far as the bouncers are concerned. Agreed that Magnolia is nothing special and it seems to me most people line up because they feel it’s the thing to do, not because they have the best product (kinda like Grimaldi’s).
Wonton, the Chicken has spoken and he concurs with M4L. BTW, the Chicken is the supreme court so no more appeals unless you want to do so face to face this Thurs over drinks.
