that is definitely the same place Biff. It was never overcrowded when I was there but then it was always just after work for drinks. Gone by 9. Cubby hole can be a blast! It’s such an interesting crowd/mix. I’ve taken gay friends there before and gotten bonus points 🙂
Thanks Cobble, but I’m good for the day 🙂 I’ve got plenty of liquid and food. The cats and I will be dining on chicken and rice today…yum!
Bayard’s Ale House looks good, albeit bright. I like it dark though…my attractiveness is inversely proportional to the brightness of the lights (and the amount of alcohol others consume).
Bxgirl…I’m blaming dancing at Ellis and the Park Slope post office for my foot woes 🙂 I’m going to the doctor in the morning to see what’s going on.
Hari is lethargic again today. He’s napping as we speak (type). Maybe later he’ll be interested in playing.
Arkady…thanks for the offer. I actually don’t need anything today. I’m reclining with my foot propped up. I’m gonna try your ice suggestion tonight (hopefully a bag of frozen spinach will work! I’ve got no ice!)

I haven’t been but someone told me Bayard’s Ale House – used to be the Sazerac – is good. Hudson @ Charles.

I totally second CG_ups suggestion of the Other Room, especially if you are there earlier when it is rarely crowded.
Good music, very wide beer selection, good mix of people.
