Open Thread

Dear PLUSAs, I took a peek at the beer place in Ft. Greene on Friday night. It was about 9 p.m. and the place was not packed, but it was unbearably LOUD–it has all solid shiny white surfaces and that noise bounces! Aside from the beer menu they sell a little wine by the glass and a few nonalcoholic drinks. It’s not very big and the garden is not open. Also a little bit of snack food.

We ate at the Japanese restaurant, One Greene, across the street, which was very nice and not at all crowded, but I don’t know if they would be prepared for a bunch of loud, midlife drinkers, karaoke singers and catlovers.

Maybe the room at Smoke Joint that used to be a little cafe (the something Pig)? Maybe they would do it on a Thursday night after the BAM crowd.

Sorry I missed the Bed-Stuy tour. 1) it was just too hot for me, and 2) I was busy consoling my daughter who was grieving the end of rock camp.

HoboROCKS, I chickened out and went all cash last week and once again proves to be lucky chap as I avoided spanked the last few days. you think this is the usual pull back around this time of the yr or you think it’s the oft referenced double dip?
