Speaking of western names that Chinese take, dogs and CGar’s chow, a friend of mine had a chow named Winston and sometime afterwards I met a guy in Hong Kong named Winston Chow so I gave his card to my friend who owned Winston the chow.
My favorite name of anone in HK was “Rolex.” The most popular girls name is “Fanny.”
“A cat accepts direction from its owner only if the instruction is reasonable and intelligent.”
You’ve never met my dog, who apparently has a feline-like personality. She ignores most everything I tell (ask, beg) her to do. I regularly get dirty looks that convey, “Are you kidding me with that”. She deigns to eat only when she feels like it, and that includes “treats” that most dogs go wild for. That said, she is the sweetest, most loving, friendliest dog you could ever ask for.

Chows are adorable. I want to meet your dog CGar. They are like the cutest puppies ever!

“Winston Chow”
ROFL, dave. That’s a great name – especially for the dog. I’ve always wanted to name a pet Winston since I’m a big Churchill fan.
Cargar…I can see you now booking it down the street with your dog while Wonton chases after you two with a fork and skillet in hand! ROFL!
