LOL! I was very sincere in fact! Oh, jeesh…just remembered that I actually stood up and sang that damned song…and danced! Lordy…please tell me not many people saw that!
snappy- I am asking for special dispensation for my other cyberhusband CarGar. He has made every effort to compromise on the dog/cat issue and although it comes at great personal cost, can and does take care of friend’s cats, leaving me to beleive that should the need arise, I can depend upon him in all circumstance. So- por favor?
Thought the pushing in subway / trains was a Japanese thing. Remember seeing documentaries showing subway workers whose job is to shove and pack in the people into the trains during rush hours
Ha ha ha, WonTon…a Chinese queue!!!! Whenever I get in a line I always look for what I refer to as a “Chines queue” which menas that it may look shorter but there are probably more people bunched up in the middle so in fact the wait will be longer.
In mainland China, there may be a queue before something “opens” but once it “opens” there’s a mad rush of pushing and shoving to get to the front!!!!
I think the reason that “M’goy” is heard so often in HK is because there is so much bumping into each other!!! LOL
Bxgirl…first we’ll see what he says about my cooking..LOL! Ok, ok…how about this…he’s only got to sit in the corner for an hour a day. Fair enough?
“g10, we eat anything that couldn’t get away.”
I definitely noticed that when I traveled to China.

Hong Kong’s trains don’t get anywhere near as crowded as Tokyo’s. The service is super-frequent, once every 2 or three minutes.

Snappy – You mean you were insincere about the song you sang at Ellis?

If I feel someone in Hong Kong bump up against me and make contact that lasts more than a nanosecond, I always turn around and look at the person.
And the person making contact with me is ALWAYS a non-Chinese, and usually of the male, subcontinental persuasion.
