Etson, let me throw in a different viewpoint (not that I don’t agree with the other suggestions but rather just another viewpt). if the job is not pissing you off big time and/or giving you health issues (ie ulcers, high blood pressure,…), suck it up for 2-3 yrs so you can pad the savings so that if you choose to switch careers, $$$ would be much less of a concern. You’re still young enough to push the career change decision back 2-3 yrs.

definitely more power to you if you are a teacher, it’s a great noble professional, and someone has to do it! i wouldnt be able to handle it because it’s like there are two types of kids in nyc. violent and uneducated kids on welfare with terrible parents and snotty priveleged annoying brats with terrible parents.
personally i dont think schools are necessary anymore, it’s very last millenium. kids should just learn on the computer at home or whereever they choose. we’d save a TOOOOOOOOON of money in taxes that way, and kids would be smarter than they are now.
