Yes, DH, New Haven, CT. Sally’s pizza is great too.
The PLUSA pub crawl is a great idea!
Biff, I did the High Line, but I’ll gladly go back – can’t wait until the full length is opened. And, if, before we meet, you see someone walking a black Chow in your hood, please stop and say hello, at least to the dog.
“I went to VT last weekend, where I grew up, and was more frightened of the kids playing hackysack in the downtown parking lot”
That would scare me, too.
“youd be shocked how many people i met in harlem that way when i lived there hahahah”
Harlem is an uptown Manhattan neighborhood. It is LIGHT YEARS away from ENY, which is akin to Far Rockaway in its sheer isolation from the rest of the city. When I worked at a restaurant in college, my Harlem friends (black and Hispanic) were scared sh**tless about ever setting foot in Brooklyn, much less ENY!
Rob, I’m sorry to hear about your half sister and other siblings. I’ll second what Denton has said. Your uncle (and probably others) were abusive. That was no way to treat a child! They were in the wrong! I’d say see a therapist, go to AA, be sober, and stop smoking. You have tons of wonderful qualities, including brains and charm. Also, I am sure you will find a partner, so don’t worry about that. Everyone thinks it will never happen to them, but it does — eventually.

I’d like to be carried through Brooklyn in a sedan chair by four hunky Chinamen.
All this talk about smart people and then I show up.
Actually what brought me out is Dave’s question, if anyone turned a trick in a bathroom.

She is much older than DH and is married with two of the most beautiful kids in the world (That’s obvious since I am the uncle).
