“DH- sorry- I will never be convinced she would have called the cops on a white, lavender or seafoam green person (she did call them on a brown person actually).”
“I’m not saying she called them to purposefully give Gates a hard time. I call her racist because she assumed a Black man dealing with a jammed door- (despite him being a neighbor, a famous Harvard professor whose presence is a source of money for the university, had luggage and a cane-) had to be a robber.”
oh,thanks randi- but rob (13), bxgrl (13)? And your count is already outdated- I am so less lame than rob.

Actually, what’s really pathetic is that you’re fascinated with a group of people you label as “pathetic losers,” so much so that you would take the time to tally up their posts.
THL- the police report says Gates did produce id, and the officer says he gave Gates his name but would not give his badge number. By law, I think, in NYC they must do that. But I think the training would be better if it addressed better assessment of situations like this through considering all the facts. So yes, I agree they should have apologized and just left, despite him being rude. I imagine he thought it was unspeakably rude of them to even ask who he was. And I’m sure the cop was at his intimidating best- because they are trained to control a situation. Except, unfortunately, this officer didn’t do that very well or correctly.

“Love Obama but hate your neighbor’s.”
Wrong on both counts in my case!
“I asked what was wrong with the PJ’s but got no response. If an asshat (white gentrifier) wrote that he’s be all over it as racist.”
