  1. I mostly agree with Rob re Obama, especially on spending. Before anyone says, yes Bush also had a bad track record on spending. I am more optimistic about the country as a whole though. Perhaps I am just a starry-eyed immigrant.

  2. “The What’s picked up his “poking-people-for-a-response-stick” again.

It’s the truth and that’s why everyone is avoiding it!

    The What

Someday this war is gonna end…

  3. quote:
I’m appalled, rob. You must be a big fan of Rush Limbaugh or not very much about what is going on in this country. Did you vote?

uh, please dont accuse me of liking rush limbaugh just because i dont like obama. as i stated earlier i dont like any of them. and i didnt vote. what would be the point if i think they all blow? besides id rather let other people decide who to put in office and then let them feel dumb when they see what happens.

anyway, i dont like talking politics because my viewpoints arent very popular and oftentimes pretty crass.

  4. bxgrl, theres a certain class of genteel middle class British people try to avoid having to talk to people they don’t know very well including accidentally not noticing them on Main st. and if necessary and running to the front door to get indoors if the neighbor’s door is showing signs of opening.

  5. “ENY- Even if that is true.”

I can’t say if it’s true or not, but it does raise some questions that are worth looking into.

“They got called to respond to the alleged break in at the house.”

By a neighbor who likely told the cops “a black man is trying to break into the house next door.”

“That said I can’t see how in this particular instance he could be accused of profiling.”

From the Huffington Post article: “I talked to a black Cambridge cop about racial profiling in Cambridge recently. He told me that while all police officers in Cambridge racially profile, black officers were smarter about it. He elaborated saying that while black officers check clothes, age, and demeanor of men while profiling African Americans, white officers were “stupid about it” and simply profiled all African Americans, without any regard to the rest of their appearance. This explains why a well groomed, 60-year-old man wearing a blazer and glasses would get the same treatment as a young black man with baggy pants and a doo-rag in Cambridge.”
